Foxes will always find a means of slipping into your property and it’s very hard to stop them from doing so. All they need is a 12cm hole in the perimeter fence. Besides, foxes are good at digging under fences and can climb or jump well too.
Why do foxes find gardens attractive? If you are thinking of protecting your garden with a fox-proof fence, then you should follow the recommendations under: “How can I protect poultry and other pets from foxes?”. But it is cheaper and easier to ask yourself what makes your garden attractive to foxes and act accordingly. Do they simply pass through it? Can foxes find food there or things to play with? Or could they even find a safe place to sleep in? Remove potential sources of food for foxes from your garden. However, this may mean that other wild animals will visit your garden less frequently.
